Private Pilot

The Private Pilot rating is the beginning of a life in aviation, you will learn what it means to be a safe pilot as well as create a strong foundation of flying knowledge. Whether you want to be able to fly for fun with friends and family or to start a career in Aviation. The Private Pilot Rating is the start of it all.

Am I eligible:

Must be a US Citizen and at least 17 years old.

You must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English fluently.

You need to pass a medical examination by an FAA-approved aviation medical examiner.

How long should it take:

We can expect this rating to take 6-9 months if flying 1-2 times a week

If a student is dedicated and flies 3-4 times a week and studies in between lessons, this rating can be done in around 3-4 months.

What will it cost:

The FAA minimum 40 flight hours required averages around $10,000

Assuming:

$150 Average hourly Airplane Rental

$85 hourly Flight/Ground instruction

Average:

Assuming the Nationwide Average of 75 FlightHours

It is expected to be anywhere from $15,000 - $20,000
